Now that the prides are one, life was simple. Yet only a year later, a rather large and startling scenario took place. Many members couldn't accept the fate of the pride and retaliated against the family one night. Both outlanders and pride members alike took part in this and Simba vainly fought against them to protect his daughter and mate. Kovu fought alongside him, hoping it would make a difference. Them, and a large portion of the pride that was still following Simba, managed to fight back the retaliating felines, chasing them all to the Outlands where they belonged. Unfortunately, later that night, Simba died from his injuries and Kiara and Nala were struck with grief. Kovu felt guilt for not being able to help more, but he knew he would be able to carry out his wish to lead the pride.
Soon after that battle, Kiara gave birth to two healthy cubs. One was a female, which she named Serenity, and Kovu named the male Khaz. The pride was joyous and things were gladly at peace. Time seemed to fly and soon they were of age to be able to wander freely on their own. Kiara can't help but feel that things will be turning for the worse, however, and Kovu has noticed his half sister, Vitani, was getting rather edgy and distant lately. Were things really going to go for the worse for the Pride landers? Or is it just a bad feeling they are getting?
Well, that's for you to find out. Decide, though. Who will you help? The Outlanders to take reign of Pride Rock? Or the Pride Landers, who want nothing more but be free of fighting and be at peace?
